Under the direction of the SWIS Manager, the Youth Coordinator/Facilitator will coordinate and implement all aspects of Youth Settlement (SWIS) programming for (8-12 yrs and 13-18 yrs) immigrant youth. The position is also responsible for ensuring that all agency and funder administrative requirements and contractual outcomes are met.
The position will involve after-school hours and some evenings (Middle Years Program); programming is especially busy during the summer months.

A leadership position within the organization, the SWIS Manager oversees the Settlement Worker in Schools Program in North and West Vancouver and youth programming at NSMS. The SWIS program is a school-based outreach program that helps newcomer students and their families settle into their North and West Vancouver school and community through 1-1 appointments with parents and workshops for students and their parents. The SWIS program help families communicate effectively with schools through in person meetings with school staff and support with written communication. A variety of youth programs are offered after-school and during school breaks to connect newcomer youth with their community and engage youth in anti-discrimination and diversity education.
