Office Coordinator - North Shore English Language Centre Full Time

This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the administrative activities of the language school including LINC, ESL, informal language learning, CELPIP and IELTS testing.  The role provides oversight of all government and agency-required tracking and reporting of student intake, movement, and exits. The Office Coordinator has a solid knowledge of database systems and ensures ongoing enhancement as required by funders and ensures streamlining of systems to increase efficiencies. The Office Coordinator ensures that data collection and reporting meets program deliverables. This role is responsible for the marketing and promotion of a broad range of language programs and testing opportunities for clients. The Office Coordinator is a multi-tasker that supports students experiencing crisis, manages the online enrollment, onboarding and ongoing support of students, provides supervision to Program Support Workers, and backfills their roles as needed. This key position collaborates with the Language Leads and Language Services Manager to ensure a high quality language learning experience for students at the Centre.

LINC Instructor, North Shore English Language Centre Part Time

The North Shore English Language Centre (NSELC) offers a wide range of English language learning classes to newcomers on the North Shore including: the LINC program and supported English language programs for seniors and for women experiencing vulnerabilities.  Specialized classes are available to temporary permit holders and newcomers wanting to increase their workplace English language skills. The NSELC also offers fee for service classes, personalized tutoring options, and English language testing programs.                    The LINC Instructor will be supported by the Language Leads and work under the direction of the Manager of English Language Services. The LINC Instructor will teach and support LINC students to develop their English language skills in accordance with the requirements of the federally funded LINC program.
